Purse Design and Crafting

  • Cactus Blossom Collective 111 West Callender Street Livingston, MT, 59047 United States (map)

If you're feeling creative and looking for crafty things to do in Livingston, why not come and learn all about leatherwork with this fun, hands-on class? Taught by expert leather craftswoman Meg Krusemark of Deep Creek Outdoor and Kaycee Kalahar of Folk Elements. This leather purse is the simplest form of all bag designs: a single panel of material is held by two sides of beautiful wood to create a bag and single buckle strap is secured on either side. Even if you have never created a single thing ever, you can easily design and assemble a leather purse that will likely last the rest of your life.
When you attend our Makers Class together we will go over the steps of crafting this leather bag in depth as well as sourcing your supplies. You will make a bag that's approximately 13″x3″x5" and your guide will show you each step. Then we'll guide you as you do the work of creating your own.
Whether you're looking for a new business venture or gift ideas for a loved one, you're sure to end this class with a new set of skills and a stunning leather bag!
